Rate Appeal filed by the members over 71% rate increase
The Windermere Oaks Water Supply Corp. raised water and sewer rates 71% to pay for legal fees to cover litigation costs for past and current directors after their directors and officers insurance refused to pay claims due to violations of law. That lawsuit can be seen here https://integritynow1.net/wsc-members-v-wowsc
WOWSC doesnt want anyone to see what they are spending
The rate case is about WOWSC raising the rates to pay for litigation costs. We believe this is absolute wasteful spending to make the plaintiffs look bad. It appears that Joe Gimenez would bankrupt the system to do just that. How much did this 91 page filing cost the members?
Powerful Testimony from the PUC Staff
Given the plausibility of these concerns, Windermere has failed to show that the legal expenses incurred to litigate these matters are just and reasonable expenses that may be recovered through rates. Nor has Windermere shown how these expenses result in benefits to its ratepayers such as lowered rates or improved service. Staff recommended water and sewer rates- $79.79 -not $156.80! http://interchange.puc.texas.gov/Documents/50788_109_1126054.PDF
This video was produced before the 71% rate hike. Its PROFOUND given the chain of events including Bill Earnest's departure immediately after he voted to have the members pay for his malfeasance.
Ms. Gerino, who is the Vice President of the WOWSC, thinks its OK to file a PUC rate appeal in her community against Corix for a 50% increase in rates while voting to raise WOWSC members rates 71%. Ms Gerino voted to do this to cover legal expenses for her best friend and former business partner Dana Martin.
